About the 2014 Conference:

The IFOA held its first World Summit and Gala Dinner in conjunction with the Association’s Annual General Assembly meeting in historic Lisbon, Portugal on 18th – 19th September 2014.

World-leading experts in Forward Osmosis (FO) technology visited Lisbon to learn more about the latest commercial developments, strategies and techniques in FO. They participated in a variety of interactive technical sessions, and joined the General Assembly meeting and helped develop the Association’s agenda for 2015 and beyond. Outstanding technical sessions were given by industry experts who presented a range of practical and useful insights into FO applications and performance advantages.

The Summit also provided a unique opportunity to network with others involved in Forward Osmosis and discuss the latest technologies and solutions. One of the key networking opportunities was the IFOA gala dinner and river cruise which was held on board the M/V Opera where guests enjoyed dinner whilst taking in the sights along the Tagus River to the Torre Belém, Terreiro do Paço and Parque das nações.
